In 2016, Ginevra obtained a Master\u2019s Degree in Television, Cinema, and New Media at the IULM University of Milan with a thesis, followed by prof. Giovanni Chiaramonte, entitled “The Mirror by Andrej Tarkovskij: a film between memory and recollection”. After attending a training course of Ercole Visconti at the Scuola Civica di Cinema Luchino Visconti in Milano, and the partecipation to the Neil Landau Masterclass \u201cShowrunner: creare e produrre serie tv\u201d, at UCLA, School of Theatre, Film and Television, in 2016 comes also the role of assistant director in the TV show \u201cMaster of Photography\u201d produced by Sky Arte. The following year, she worked as a machine operator in the studio and for confessionals in the second edition of the same program.<\/p>\n
The professional specializations of this young Italian promise are really many. To her carnet, also a master in “Director of photography, camera and editing operator” at the Accademia Nazionale del cinema in Bologna, held by Mauro Marchetti, Rocco Marra and Paolo Vanghetti.<\/p>\n

In an interview some time ago, Ginevra Barboni stated: \u201cI learned on set to work alongside my father already in 2008, as assistant director and assistant operator for his short films, including \u2018Il grande forse\u2019 with Philippe Leroy and Roberto Andreucci. The photography was by Maurizio Calvesi and the music by Franco Micalizzi. I then continued with ‘Chimeres Absentes’ by Fanny Ardant, ‘Pensiero Giallo’ and ‘Idea Malvagia’ by Pierfrancesco Campanella, and I also did the director of photography in the film ‘Tundra’ by Federico Mattioni. And of my grandfather I always admired all his productions, of course”. The first short film by Ginevra Barboni (as author, producer, and director) in 2019 is entitled “La vita che ti aspetta”, and has won awards all over the world.<\/p>\n
